To enable global SMS sending and receiving with Telnyx Version 1 on Vodia PBX, first create a Telnyx account and purchase an SMS number. Then, navigate to the messaging section to set up a profile, specifying the callback URL for incoming messages and selecting API Version 1. Copy your API token from Telnyx, then go to Vodia PBX admin settings to choose Telnyx as your SMS provider and enter your credentials. Each user can customize their SMS ANI in their extension settings, allowing for seamless messaging via the user portal. Be sure to keep your Vodia PBX updated for the best performance.

Vodia and Google Translate API

To enable this feature, you’ll need a Google Cloud account, along with an active Voice API subscription key - this can be created under “APIs & Services” in the Google Cloud Console. This API key, which should be restricted for security, is entered into the Vodia PBX system to activate transcription capabilities. For multi-tenant setups, voicemail transcription can be managed per domain or disabled for specific extensions, offering flexible control over API usage.

Provisioning Fanvil With Vodia PBX

The Vodia PBX streamlines the automatic provisioning of Fanvil phones through methods like zero-touch LAN provisioning, DHCP option 66 and Fanvil RPS. To get started, ensure you reset your Fanvil device by holding the OK button until prompted for a factory reset, then customize it by uploading your logo. For RPS provisioning, register for an account on the Fanvil portal, input your credentials in the Vodia PBX settings and add the phone's MAC address to the respective extensions. This allows the Vodia PBX to register the device in your Fanvil RPS account. Finally, reboot your Fanvil device to connect to the RPS and download its configuration file. For older models like the X4, use "prov/fanvil.xml" as the configuration file name; newer models like the X4U require "prov/fanvil-sysconf.xml." This seamless integration makes managing your Fanvil devices efficient and hassle-free.
