Boston, MA and Brunswick, ME (November 13, 2020), Vodia Networks announces the addition of a new premier partner located in Brunswick, ME. Cove Central, Unified Communications Service Provider has completed necessary training, SIP trunk certification and interoperability with Vodia’s PBX.

Vodia is a SIP PBX software (open standard) compatible with Microsoft Teams and that can work as a single tenant or as a multi-tenant instance white label solution for small telecommunications operators, without the need for initial investment and with a business model based 100% on channel distribution.

Kyle Asbury, Director of Sales & Marketing at Vodia Networks: “Working with Cove Central for several years on many projects has been nothing short of amazing. Having a team of real IT pros that have the same ‘think outside the box’ mentality coupled with offering top-notch service, puts us in winning positions that others simply cannot achieve. ”

“As organizations are either in transition or growing, they’re looking for more affordable ways to communicate with their staff.   A traditional PBX or legacy solution for these customers is really outdated for today’s standards and requirements.  Vodia’s innovation is their strength.  Their system was designed from the ground up to address these changes and the mix of platform integration in the communication landscape. We’re excited about becoming one of Vodia Networks’ premier providers,” Jim Whittaker, Managing Director of Cove Central Communications.

snom button mode to the rescue

Addressing a challenge with LDAP, VoIP phones lack the ability to write new contacts to the address book. For users of snom phones, a solution involves utilizing the snom button mode, specifically the "keyevent" mode with the F_ADR_BOOK parameter. This configuration enables users to add phone numbers directly from the phone keyboard, bypassing the need for PBX login and web interface use. This versatile approach can also be applied to other functions and is similarly available for Grandstream, HTek, and Yealink phones.
