Austrian MSP my Tweak Telekom completed two Vodia PBX deployments in Vienna, helping Pension Suzanne modernize its hotel communications and enabling New Business Verlag GmbH to upgrade from a legacy on-premise phone system to a hosted cloud PBX. The projects demonstrate how businesses can modernize legacy telephony infrastructure, improve operational flexibility, preserve existing hardware investments, and deliver better communication experiences with cloud-based unified communications.

Austrian businesses rely on my Tweak Telekom GmbH, based in Vienna, for the best in Unified Communications. Founded in 2012 and a longtime Vodia partner, my Tweak works with companies throughout Austria to provide them with comprehensive VoIP Unified Communications solutions, including cloud alarm solutions, CTI email, presence status, video, and voice - all from a single source.

my Tweak recently completed two Vodia installations in Vienna, at Pension Suzanne and at New Business Verlag GmbH.

Pension Suzanne

Run by the Strafinger family, Pension Suzanne, a three-star guesthouse with 28 rooms near the Vienna State Opera, is an homage to fin de siècle Vienna, with period fabrics and furniture throughout the property. Thanks to its proximity to the Opera, the hotel is quite popular and almost always busy.

Pension Suzanne reached out to my Tweak because the owners wanted to migrate from an analog phone system to a cloud system. Prior to switching to Vodia, the hotel was using an old ISDN Siemens phone system with analog phones in its rooms and wanted to move its telephony to the cloud to modernize its communications, streamline its operations, and improve guest services.

The deployment had to be completed as quickly as possible so as not to disrupt hotel operations. It was also crucial to replace the Siemens system without having to redo the cabling, as there were only analog connections.

Simple to install and easy to use, Voda’s industry-standard phone system is the perfect solution for hotels, and the entire project only took one day. Alongside the deployment of the Vodia PBX, my Tweak replaced all of the room telephones with Fanvil H5WB Hotel IP Wi-Fi WLAN phones. Since the installation, Pension Suzanne has seen an increase in staff productivity and greater guest satisfaction, as well as reduced telephony costs.

New Business Verlag GmbH

New Business Verlag GmbH has been an important Austrian business magazine for more than two decades, with a focus on business, culture, exports, lifestyle, and law. The magazine is a longtime supporter of the Austrian business community.

New Business Verlag has been a my Tweak customer for many years: the magazine had been using an on–prem snom PBX since 2012 and was looking to upgrade to an up-to-date, feature-rich phone system, and my Tweak recommended Vodia’s best-in-class cloud PBX. my Tweak is now hosting the Vodia PBX for New Business Verlag, which interoperates with their snom phones. The magazine didn’t have to replace its existing hardware to migrate to Vodia.

Mobile Apps, Desk Phones, and Browser Calling: Choosing the Right Endpoint by Role

Business communication is no longer tied to a single device. Desk phones remain valuable for employees who manage high call volumes, mobile apps give remote and travelling teams access to business calling wherever they work, and browser calling fits naturally into computer-based workflows. This article looks at the strengths and limitations of each endpoint, explains which roles they suit best and shows why most organizations benefit from building the right mix rather than selecting one option for everyone.
