The Vodia PBX and the Infor Hospitality Platform

The certified integration between the Vodia PBX and the Infor Hospitality Platform brings hotel operations and guest communications together. Through support for UHLL and FIAS, the two systems can exchange essential guest and room information, helping hotels automate extension activation at check-in, room resets at check-out, guest moves, calling permissions, call billing, Do Not Disturb settings, housekeeping updates, and wake-up calls. This reduces manual work for hotel staff and keeps telephone services synchronized throughout each guest’s stay.

Hotels of every size, from high-rise resorts to boutique properties, rely on property management systems (PMS) to automate, organize, and simplify daily operations. Front-desk teams use a PMS for reservations, check-in, and check-out, while housekeeping teams use it to update room statuses, such as clean, dirty, inspected, or out of order, in real time. When connected with a hospitality-focused PBX such as the Vodia PBX, the two systems bring hotel operations and guest communication together.

The Vodia Cloud Phone System: Built for Hospitality

The Vodia Cloud Phone System gives hotels a complete hospitality communication system that enhances the overall guest experience and streamlines operations. Our platform enables hotels to provide the best possible service to guests while optimizing efficiency and reducing unnecessary administrative complexity and costs, thanks to Vodia’s support for multiple device types, seamless PMS integration, in-house call center functionality, and Microsoft Teams connectivity

With the Vodia PBX, hotel guests can easily access services, communicate with staff, and integrate their personal devices with the hotel’s phone system. Features such as advanced automation, AI call management, and multilingual support make the Vodia PBX a robust, scalable solution for modern hotels.

The Infor PMS

Infor offers a cloud hotel PMS through the Infor Hospitality Management Solution, alongside hospitality software for restaurants, casinos, and event venues; more than 20,000 hotels, restaurants, and casinos use Infor software.

Infor enables hotels to:

  • Leverage AI-powered data analytics: hyper-personalize guest experiences, optimize offerings and pricing, and improve forecasting
  • Provide guests with intuitive check-ins, menu access, guest services, room keys, and communication, all via mobile
  • Unify operations across properties in the cloud: track activities, trends, and outcomes across the organization

The Vodia PBX Integration with Infor Hospitality

The Vodia PBX is certified for integration with the Infor Hospitality Platform. Vodia supports the Universal Hospitality Language Layer (UHLL) and Fidelio Interface Application Specification (FIAS), enabling the PBX and hospitality property management systems to exchange essential guest and room information.

Depending on the deployment, the integration can:

  • Activate room extension during check-in and set the guest name.
  • Reset/deactivate the room (clean history, logs, voicemail etc.) on check-out.
  • Move all extension information (history, vm) to the new extension on room move.
  • Apply guest calling permissions and credit limits
  • Send eligible external call charges to the guest’s bill
  • Synchronize Do Not Disturb status
  • Send housekeeping codes from room phones to update room status
  • Notify hotel staff when wake-up calls are missed
  • Sets up wakeup call from PMS to PBX and vice versa

These workflows reduce manual updates at the front desk and help keep room telephone services synchronized with each guest’s stay.
