Vodia Sales Engineer Eric Altman attended HITEC North America 2026 to connect with hospitality technology providers, discuss current PMS integrations, and explore future opportunities around Vodia V70. The event highlighted the growing importance of reliable hotel communication, front-desk workflows, staff coordination, and integrations between cloud phone systems and the platforms hotels already use every day, especially as hospitality teams look for more connected and efficient ways to serve their guests.

Vodia Sales Engineer Eric Altman spent June 16 and 17 at HITEC North America 2026 in San Antonio, TX, the world’s largest hospitality technology trade show.

For Vodia, HITEC was an opportunity to connect directly with hospitality technology providers, discuss current integrations, and explore how Vodia V70 can continue supporting hotels, resorts, and service providers with flexible, modern communication tools.

“This was a great event for Vodia,” Eric said. “I had a chance to discuss our recent Shiji integration with Olliniltzin Lopez, Shiji Solutions Engineer for LATAM. I also had productive conversations with Jonathan Perciavalle of Infor, since Vodia is certified for the Infor Hospitality Platform, and spent time with Armen and Edwin Martirosyan of BluIP, a certified SIP trunk provider with Vodia.”

“I also had valuable discussions with Cloudbeds, whose Property Management System (PMS) is currently integrated with Vodia, as well as Oracle Cloud and Maestro, about the potential integrations of their PMS platforms with Vodia V70,” Eric added. “We’re looking forward to seeing how things develop over the summer, especially since we’re already up to V70.4.”

Hospitality communication depends on more than phone calls. Hotels need reliable guest communication, efficient staff coordination, smooth front-desk workflows, and integrations that connect the phone system with the tools property teams already use every day. That is where Vodia continues to focus its hospitality development.

At Vodia, we understand the crucial role effective communication plays in delivering exceptional guest experiences and streamlined property management. Our AI-driven hospitality solutions enable hotels to create seamless, efficient, and personalized guest interactions while improving operational efficiency, and our industry-standard cloud phone system gives hotels a strong set of hospitality features designed for modern property environments.

Desk phones, mobile apps, or both? Choosing the right setup for business calls

Desk phones and mobile apps both have a place in modern business communications. IP desk phones remain a strong choice for receptionists, support teams, customer service agents, and employees who handle a high volume of calls from a fixed location. Mobile apps, on the other hand, give remote, hybrid, and field-based users access to their business extension wherever they work. For many organizations, the best answer is not choosing one over the other, but using both through the same PBX environment so every user has the right calling tool for their role.
