Fanvil X4 and X4U Models Provisioning

Published on:

March 21, 2022

Vodia’s cloud PBX system seamlessly integrates with Fanvil devices, offering a robust communication solution for businesses. Whether using older models like the Fanvil X4 or newer ones like the X4U, Vodia ensures smooth provisioning for each phone model. For the Fanvil X4, provisioning requires setting the "Configuration File Name" as "prov/fanvil.xml", which is easily configured through the RPS (Redirection and Provisioning Service) interface. This setup, though simple, may require multiple factory resets during the process to ensure everything functions correctly.

Older phone models (e.g., X4, etc.) need the "Configuration File Name” as "prov/fanvil.xml" (this will be found inside RPS --> Group --> Edit button --> Phone Flash section). These older models may also need multiple factory resets at each periodic interval during provisioning (heads-up if you don't see the phone doing anything).

The newer phone models (e.g., X4U, etc.) need the "Configuration File Name" as "prov/fanvil-sysconf.xml" (will be found inside RPS --> Group --> Edit button --> Phone Flash section).
