Eric Altman joins Doug Green on the Technology Reseller News podcast to discuss Vodia V70 and the latest innovations in business communications. The conversation covers the redesigned admin portal, centralized remote provisioning, AI voice agents for inbound and outbound call handling, and upcoming additions such as Vodia Monitor and Vodia Analytics. Eric also explains how V70 helps enterprises, SMBs, and service providers build more scalable, flexible, and intelligent communication environments across both cloud and on-premise deployments.

We were thrilled to announce the official launch of Version 70 of our industry-standard PBX in March of this year, the next step in the evolution of our cloud phone system.

On April 30th, our Sales Engineer, Eric Altman, spoke with Doug Green, publisher of Technology Reseller News and host of the Technology Reseller News podcast, about V70, its incredible suite of features, and what it can do for enterprises and SMBs looking to build state-of-the-art communication ecosystems with true AI functionality, both on-prem and in the cloud.

Eric tells Doug, “we’re always looking to improve the product, and with Version 70 we wanted to take it a step further by recreating the admin console, enough that it’s a new interface, but at the same time it’s easy to understand for people who have used the old interface.”

Doug points out that Vodia has always been “very plug and play.” Eric agrees and tells him centralized remote provisioning has been built into V70: “people can provision multiple phones and multiple types of phones right through the interface.” This increased efficiency and ease of use were two of the main goals Vodia set for itself while developing V70.

V70 also brings AI functionality to our PBX, and we’re very excited to make this available to Vodia users. “We have the ability to create voice agents,” Eric tells Doug, “both inbound and outbound.” Inbound voice agents can transfer calls in a conversational way, while outbound agents are the perfect solution for appointment reminders, payment notifications, and order status, for example.

Two of the new features Vodia will add to V70 this year include Vodia Monitor and Vodia Analytics: with Vodia Monitor, MSPs can monitor all of their systems, while Vodia Analytics gives users next-level analysis of call data reports (CDR) and reporting.

With regard to early adopters, Eric says, “the AI is a real big thing, and everyone is loving that.”

With Vodia V70, “you’re only limited by your imagination,” Eric says. “We can find applications for any business to use it. If it can be done with AI, we can add it into the system.”
