Vodia Announces Integration with ElevenLabs Voice AI Platform

A streamlined integration connects the Vodia PBX with the ElevenLabs Voice AI Platform using a lightweight IVR JavaScript script and native SIP REFER for call transfers. Audio and call control are handled entirely through standard SIP signaling, while all conversational logic, prompts, voice selection, and routing rules are configured in the ElevenLabs dashboard. This approach removes the need for webhooks or WebSocket connections and keeps the PBX side intentionally minimal, making the deployment clean and production-ready.

Vodia Networks, Inc., is pleased to announce the integration of its industry-standard cloud phone system with Eleven Labs Voice AI Platform. ElevenLabs is an AI audio research and deployment company - the company’s goal is to make interacting with computers as natural as talking to a person.

Eleven Labs Voice AI Platform

Voice has become a primary interface for using technology, and the Eleven Labs Voice AI Platform has been designed to make these interactions effortless and human. The company’s AI voices are ultra-realistic - clear, expressive, and multilingual. The company continues to advance AI audio across music, speech, and sound effects.

Agents Platform and Creative Platform

With ElevenLabs’ Agents Platform and Creative Platform, teams can deploy voice agents that actually listen, talk, and act, localize content at scale, tell stories, and improve accessibility. ElevenLabs models speak more than 70 languages: businesses can use these models to run and scale in production, and to teach, support, connect, and create. Some of the company’s customers include Cisco, Chess.com, Epic Games, and Time.

Vodia IVR and ElevenLabs Conversational AI

A simple IVR script integrates ElevenLabs Conversational AI with the Vodia PBX. It is unlike other AI integrations for a number of reasons:

  • ElevenLabs uses native SIP REFER for call transfers, making the implementation extremely straightforward. It only requires three lines of JavaScript, as shown in the Vodia IVR ElevenLabs example
  • The audio (RTP) is established through a standard SIP call to ElevenLabs, and call transfers are handled natively through SIP REFER messages. This eliminates the need for webhooks or websocket connections
  • All conversational AI logic, prompts, voice selection, and transfer rules are configured in the ElevenLabs dashboard
  • The Vodia IVR script is only required to establish the connection and handle timeouts

What Sets This Integration Apart from Other AI Integrations

  • No Webhooks Required: ElevenLabs doesn't require webhook configuration for call events
  • No WebSocket Connection: call control happens natively through SIP signaling
  • SIP REFER for Transfers: standard SIP protocol for call transfers instead of proprietary APIs
  • Dashboard-Based Configuration: all AI behavior, prompts, and transfer logic are configured in the ElevenLabs dashboard
  • Simpler Code: only three lines of JavaScript are required in the IVR script
