The Vodia PBX integrates with Fanvil’s Y501 intercoms and X305 big-button IP phones to deliver a robust Microsoft Teams telephony solution for nursing homes and healthcare environments. This setup enables seamless communication between administrative staff, caregivers, and residents, while supporting features like emergency calling, paging, and DECT mobility. By combining Vodia’s Microsoft-certified PBX with Teams-compliant Fanvil devices, care facilities gain a reliable, flexible, and fully integrated communication system tailored to their unique needs.

Vodia, the industry-standard telephone system for the modern workplace, is pleased to announce our Microsoft-certified phone system now integrates with Fanvil’s new Teams smart nursing home solutions, the Y501 SIP healthcare intercom series, and the X305 Big Button IP Phone

Vodia PBX software turns mobile phones, laptops, tablets, PCs, and standard VoIP phones into endpoints employees can use for their communication needs, both on-site and in hybrid and remote environments. The integration of our Microsoft-certified PBX with Teams makes it the perfect communication solution within any Teams ecosystem, including care homes and skilled nursing facilities

Integrating the Vodia PBX with Teams strengthens and supports internal and external communication across various environments within a nursing home, ensuring efficient coordination between administration, medical staff, and patients.

With the Vodia phone system, nursing homes using Teams and Teams-compliant devices can connect their offices to rooms with devices registered to the PBX, while staff can use DECT multicell as a cordless solution on site. The integration combines the collaborative depth and strength of Teams with Vodia’s industry-standard telephony features for immediate emergency response, paging, and peerless overall call management.

Fanvil Y501-Y series SIP healthcare intercoms are designed for home-based care, nursing homes, and other indoor applications, including emergency communication, security protection, and broadcasting; their colorful appearance enhances their visibility, so residents can find phones quickly and use them with ease. The intercoms feature HD audio, 2 SIP accounts and detachable DSS keys; they’re IP54 waterproof and dustproof, with built-in 2.4G and 5G Wi-Fi (Y501W-Y/Y501W-Y-E). The series provides different installation modes of standard 86 box embedded, and they are wall mountable for timely healthcare communication. The best-selling models within the series are the Y501W and Y501-Y.

The Fanvil X305 is a big-button IP phone designed for nursing homes, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities - it can even be installed in bathrooms. The X305 features a 3.5-inch color screen and big buttons for ease of identification and use, with support for 2 SIP lines and PoE power supply. The phone has a built-in 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi. Desk phones, mobile apps, or both? Choosing the right setup for business calls

Desk phones and mobile apps both have a place in modern business communications. IP desk phones remain a strong choice for receptionists, support teams, customer service agents, and employees who handle a high volume of calls from a fixed location. Mobile apps, on the other hand, give remote, hybrid, and field-based users access to their business extension wherever they work. For many organizations, the best answer is not choosing one over the other, but using both through the same PBX environment so every user has the right calling tool for their role.
