The company has long been an ardent proponent of evolutionary technology, combining SIP-based voice systems with CCTV, classroom bell systems, door access, emergency notifications and SMS text platforms with voice-to-text and text-to-voice applications.
Brandywine installed Vodia at eight schools in Eastern Massachusetts. While these schools were using Vodia as a cloud phone system, they were using clunky Windows programs for their bells. Brandywine worked with Vodia to create a standalone scheduled school bell function.
Execution
Installation was painless and simple. Thanks to Vodia and SIP, these schools have now replaced classroom bell systems: they can control door access, control lights and HVAC, play alerts and visual notifiers for life-threatening emergencies, use E911 location-based emergency services to notify police and EMTs of exact building locations and much more.
Results and Return on Investment
All eight schools now benefit from fully customizable school bell schedules that can be activated and deactivated with a single phone button, allowing for seamless adaptation to various scenarios such as day bells, inclement weather bells, and late start bells. Additionally, the integration has significantly reduced the need for multiple, disparate systems, streamlining operations and reducing maintenance costs.
The schools now have enhanced safety protocols, including automated emergency notifications and E911 location-based services that provide first responders with precise building locations. The ability to control door access, lights and HVAC systems remotely through the same Vodia platform has also improved energy efficiency and overall building management.
