Embrace the future with Vodia, where innovation and integration converge to shape a transformative business landscape.

Does the added value of your B2B platform depend on the ability to integrate it into business processes and communication systems? There is hardly a business process that doesn’t depend on simple, results-oriented communication - communication results should, in turn, be suited for use in these processes. For example, it is now standard practice for automated notes to be stored in the digital customer file of a CRM system or a process in the ERP system. Your customers need intelligent communication systems that can manage this.

Maybe your platform offers a marketplace for third-party integrations and is a market leader? Vodia offers you, as a platform provider, a free service for providing integrations with the Vodia communication system. In short, with Vodia you are in an integration paradise!

Efficient Communication and Streamlined Business Processes

Previously, communication system users were satisfied when an incoming call automatically called up the corresponding "digital customer record" on the PC. The agent had all the information about the customer at their fingertips and could make appropriate notes, process orders or check order status. Standard integrations with specific CMS were available in the Vodia PBX, providing users with notable efficiency gains. Another example is the integration of the Vodia communication system in hotels:  from billing hotel guests for telephone usage, which requires integration between hotel software and the Vodia communication system, to facilitating seamless communication among hotel staff and managing booking inquiries. Vodia has interfaces with leading software/platform providers, from MS Teams to Oracle Fidelio.

In today’s business environment, it became essential for communication systems to seamlessly integrate with other platforms, simplifying their deployment within business processes such as billing or ordering processes. Initially, these were applications from the Vodia communication system operators at MSPs or carriers, where the system could be integrated into billing systems - a complete integration of the Vodia communication system into user portals with a specific brand was also possible. APIs are provided by the communication system for this purpose, such as transfering billing data to billing systems, provisioning users, and/or allowing resellers to present a fully-branded solution. This category also includes the integration of authentication services, directory services, etc.

Integration and Control of All Communication Channels

The reality today is companies need to maintain a variety of communication channels, and this need can’t always be satisfied with a single platform. The Vodia communication system unfolds its full potential through integration with other communication systems such as Microsoft Teams, video conferencing systems, chatbots, websites and messaging services, like WhatsApp. The Vodia apps also enables integration with mobile ecosystems from Apple and Google.

Communication Triggers Processes

Communication processes often trigger other digital processes: Actionurl, webhooks and APIs can be used to trigger processes and capture or change data for use in other processes. Integration with workflow control goes one step further by giving customers the opportunity to digitize entire processes and link them with communication processes.

Making Communication Smart with AI

The future of integration began some time ago, but it is now picking up tremendous speed with generative AI systems. The Vodia communication system is perfectly prepared for the integration of AI. Voice recordings can be converted into text and AI chatbots can automate different communication segments with customers and business partners.

Vodia Makes Digitization Simple

Companies are either in the process of digitizing their business or have already done so. In any case, this involves deploying infrastructures, platforms or services used as services (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS or XaaS in general). Particularly prominent representatives of these are Amazon, Google and Microsoft 365. XaaS offerings, however, are only useful for companies if they can be combined with other services and private cloud offerings.

XaaS providers pursue different strategies: some are gradually expanding their offering to provide companies with as comprehensive an offering as possible from a single source. Some integrations are often offered via internal marketplaces, such as Atlassian and Microsoft; others focus on a specific use case and then offer ready-made integrations or APIs so their service can be integrated into processes as universally as possible. An example is Google with its API for voice-to-text transcriptions. Other platforms provide pre-configured interfaces that can combine any software with any other, provided the conventions of the corresponding API are adhered to. PaaS and IaaS providers offer interfaces so service providers can easily set up products and services on these services; one example is setting up new customers and users quickly and automatically.

The Vodia communication system can support the implementation of either private or public cloud offerings for companies; in these cases, the Vodia communication system becomes part of a higher-level offering and is integrated accordingly. Use cases include the use of Microsoft Teams to make telephone calls via public telephone networks or to enable video conference participants to dial in via telephone.

Services can also be integrated into the Vodia communication system to make communication processes even easier: this includes the integration of AI services to convert speech into text and process it more easily, or the integration of chatbots for customer communication.

How Vodia Helps Hotels Not Disturb Their Guests

Vodia’s cloud PBX system enhances the Do-Not-Disturb (DND) function for hotels, allowing guests to manage their privacy through buttons in the room or on the phone. WLAN and VoIP: What You Need to Know

As businesses increasingly adopt Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN), understanding its impact on Voice over IP (VoIP) is essential. While WLAN offers flexibility and mobility, it can lead to call quality issues due to packet loss and bursts during access point switching. To combat these challenges, organizations can utilize robust codecs like OPUS which are designed to handle packet loss effectively and employ Session Border Controllers (SBCs) to enhance jitter buffers. By incorporating these solutions, companies can ensure a more reliable VoIP experience that meets the demands of modern workplaces, allowing seamless communication without interruptions.

Call Forwarding Glitches

In the late 1980s, prank calls were a common form of entertainment but often caused confusion, similar to today’s call forwarding glitches. Recently, a client migrating to a new PBX system experienced disruptions when users mistyped numbers for call forwarding. While user errors are common, there's a bigger concern: calls being misdirected to emergency numbers or costly lines, especially since many VoIP phones lack security features. Solutions include restricting call forwarding to internal numbers, blocking access or allowing only specific, pre-approved numbers. Ultimately, balancing control over settings is essential to prevent glitches while keeping systems user-friendly.
