VODIA ANNOUNCES INTEROPERABILITY WITH NEW HTEK MODELS UCV22 AND UCV20

Vodia Networks (“Vodia”), maker of cutting-edge software-based telephone systems, is pleased to announce the interoperability of its phone system with two new innovative Htek products, the new Htek enterprise smart IP phone UCV20 and the company’s new enterprise smart video phone UCV22. The UCV20 and the UCV22 are innovative smart IP phones with a seven-inch multi-point touch IPS screen (1280×800 pixels for UCV20 and 1024×600 pixels for UCV22), built-in Bluetooth module and dual band Wi-Fi (2.4G/5G) module, covering all scenes.

Burlington, MA – November 3, 2022 – Vodia Networks (“Vodia”), maker of cutting-edge software-based telephone systems, is pleased to announce the interoperability of its phone system with two new innovative Htek products, the new Htek enterprise smart IP phone UCV20 and the company’s new enterprise smart video phone UCV22. The UCV20 and the UCV22 are innovative smart IP phones with a seven-inch multi-point touch IPS screen (1280×800 pixels for UCV20 and 1024×600 pixels for UCV22), built-in Bluetooth module and dual band Wi-Fi (2.4G/5G) module, covering all scenes.

The Htek UCV20 and UCV22 give end users:

  • smooth operation interfaces
  • faster response speed
  • richer extension functions based on the Android 11 operating system
  • using T-Flash can greatly expand the phone’s storage space (UCV22)
  • support for up to ten-way audio/video mixed conferencing (up to 3-way video calls)
  • high-resolution IPS screen and HD Voice provide lifelike visual and audio experience

Connecting to OpenAI Realtime API

This document details the beta version of the Vodia PBX that connects to the OpenAI realtime API, enabling users to interact with a chatbot via telephone. The backend JavaScript code facilitates the connection, handling audio input and output, and the WebSocket connection to the OpenAI API. The setup requires a Vodia PBX version 69.5.3 or higher, an API key, and a license with an IVR node. The demo can be accessed by editing the ivrnode.js template and creating an IVR node in the tenant. The system supports various VoIP devices and offers good voice quality. Future improvements include voice activity detection and the ability to take actions based on OpenAI responses.
