Vodia Announces Version 69.3.1

Vodia has announced the release of version 69.3.1 of its PBX, featuring enhanced robustness for challenging environments. This update introduces new supported devices, Prometheus support for graphs and call queue statistics and improvements in IVR with natural number pronunciation for languages like French. Other notable updates include simple agent login/logout, better call forwarding for internal numbers, and multiple push servers for resilience. Bug fixes address issues with ActionURL passwords, Grandstream device support, HTTP server information in REST API calls, and more. Users are advised to back up their systems before upgrading.

New supported devices, support for Prometheus, better IVR and some bug fixes

Vodia is pleased to announce version 69.3.1, the newest version of the industry’s most robust, secure and feature-rich PBX, is now available. We announced version 69 in January 2023, and we are thrilled with the progress we continue to make.

As with version 69.3, the "theme" of this release is to help make the PBX even more solid in challenging environments. The version 69.3.1 build includes more supported devices, support for Prometheus, and a few bug fixes.

Here’s what’s new:

  • ActionURL: The password is now saved when editing ActionURL. This was a problem before because passwords are not exposed to the front end.
  • Address book: We added more control for importing address books from tenant administrator mode.
  • Agent login/logout: We added a simple agent login and logout feature for queues.
  • Android App: The links to the app store now refer to the new Android app.
  • Call forwarding: The call forward check now works properly for internal numbers.
  • CDR Emails: When there are no calls, the email no longer contains the table header (this is cosmetic).
  • Click to Dial: Click to dial could cause a call waiting for the initiating device; this caused confusion on desktop phones when using the click to dial feature. This has been resolved.
  • Grandstream: Added Grandstream GHP6xxx phones for additional choices of hospitality devices.
  • HTTP: 69.3.1 now includes the server information in REST API calls; this clarifies what version the PBX is running.
  • IVR: It is now possible to use synthesizer for numbers below 100. This will pronounce numbers more naturally than before; especially in other languages, such as French, this will improve the pronunciation of numbers.
  • IVR Node: The “to” content is no longer using the “from” header content (bug).
  • PCAP: PCAP now picks up calls from park orbits only when enabled.
  • Prometheus: We added support for Prometheus content for graphs and call queue statistics.
  • Push Server: It is now possible to add multiple push servers for additional resilience, without the need to load balance the servers themselves.
  • SMS: 69.3.1 now permits multiple SMS prefixes for the same provider.
  • Snom: The re-authentication for SRAPS wasn’t working unless the credentials were reentered. This has been resolved.
  • User Front End: When the PBX plays the reorder tone, these calls were being rejected when they should have rung the user - this has been resolved. Pagination now works when starting FAX and favorites now loads properly.
  • WebRTC DTMF: When using the browser, the new code now uses a DTMF subsystem supported by most browsers, including Safari.
  • Yealink: We have added an additional Yealink MAC range.

As always, before you upgrade you should make a backup and review your backup strategy - we have published a backup script if you’re running Linux. If you wish, you can add a command that lifts the backups into your cloud storage, which means hardware failures will not disrupt the PBX.

Please let us know what you think. Input from users is what makes our commitment to innovation possible!
